After looking into different aspects of Portuguese culture, I was inspired by the stories of the enchanted moura, a supernatural creature from Portuguese folklore. The stories say that these creatures use a golden comb to brush their long golden hair and anyone who steals their comb will be given treasure. The idea behind most of my thumbnails is that the wine is the treasure that the enchanted moura would promise.
The thumbnail I chose to take forward included elements reflecting the taste of the wine, according to the brief given.

'The taste is light, fresh and dry with the slightest hint of fizz. It offers citrusy notes of lemon and grapefruit, along with hints of green apple and tropical fruits. The wine is also characterized by its zesty acidity and a subtle mineral undertone.'
Starting Final Illustration
This first mock up allowed me to see how the cut out design would work out but also to see what changes needed to be made. I found the label blended into the bottle too much and the line art was far too light, making it difficult to see around the characters skin.
